Meet Lesley
Hola! My name is Lesley Loor (pronounced just like “Lore”) and I am the owner of LORE Birthing Services.
I’m glad you’re here and I look forward to connecting with you!
A little about me:
I was born and raised in the Bronx
I am a loving aunt, sister, and wife
I speak español
I graduated from Barnard College with a BA and from Baruch College with an MPA
I have over a decade of experience in the non-profit and education sector
I became a doula because the statistics related to maternal and infant mortality are alarming and because I want birthing people, particularly Black and Brown birthing people, to be aware of their rights and affirm their needs. Pregnancy is a beautiful and vulnerable process and I want to support and empower birthing people to make informed choices that are in their best interest.
I serve as a private and community-based doula! I am currently working on becoming Medicaid Certified.
Below are my doula-related trainings, certifications, and partnerships:
Manhattan Birth Doula Mentorship Program Cohort 2024-2025
Manhattan Birth Integrative Lactation and Feeding Specialist Training Spring 2025
EMPOWER Community Doula Training via NMPP Cohort Fall 2025
EMPOWER Community Doula Mentor Cohort 3 via NMPP Spring 2026
Proud Founding Directory Partner at Casa de Parteras as of June 2026
Member of the BIPOC Doula Collective as of August 2026
